Meet Pastor Mark

Pastor Mark Crothers is a native of the Magic Valley, having grown up in Hazelton for a short time and later Shoshone. He graduated from the University of Idaho and then worked in business for over twenty years.

He sensed a call to ministry later in life and attended theological seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. He returned to Idaho in 2016 to help care for his aging parents. Prior to coming to Twin Falls Presbyterian church in November of 2024, he served for three years as Transitional Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Pocatello, Idaho. He is excited to see where God is leading him and the people of TFFPC

He has told you, O man, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you

but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?

Meet Our Organist

Barbara is a graduate of the University of Wyoming, where she majored in both Music Education and Piano Performance. After a fulfilling career as the accompanist for the Music Department at the College of Southern Idaho, she is now retired—but far from slowing down.

Barbara continues to share her love of music by offering private piano lessons and organizing recitals that showcase her students’ growth and talent. We are truly blessed to have Barbara enrich our worship services with her skillful performances on both the organ and piano.

The History of the First Presbyterian Church of Twin Falls Building

First Presbyterian Church in Twin Falls was officially recognized under the Presbytery of Boise on August 27, 1905. After bouncing between meeting places around town for several years, the congregation incorporated and built the first church building at Fourth Avenue and Second (Gooding) Street, which was completed and dedicated on January 29, 1909.

The church grew so much in the first 8 years at that location, that it became necessary to build a larger structure to support the burgeoning congregation. The lovely building we meet in today was finished in late 1917 and dedicated on January 27, 1918.

Moving Forward

In 1946 a fire caused serious damage to the sanctuary, especially the pulpit, choir loft and pipe organ, requiring a complete renovation of the front of the sanctuary, which was a blessing in disguise that allowed for that part of the building to be modernized and better serve the congregation.

The chapel and classroom wing was finished in time for the 50th Anniversary celebration in 1955, followed by additional classrooms, church offices and the gymnasium in 1962.

Our spectacular pipe organ was installed in 1997, the longest of the pipes is 18 feet long.
