Christian Nurture

At First Presbyterian Church our mission is for every child, young person and adult to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord, Savior and Friend in a nurturing and joyful environment. We believe that everyone is a child of God and we seek to live out the commitment we make at baptism to teach everyone about the Good News of Jesus Christ, to encourage their Christian faith and service and to strengthen their ties to Christ’s church.

Adults

Bible Study (call the church office for more information on classes)

  • Sunday Morning Adult Class - This group meets before worship at 8:30 am in the Fellowship Alcove and 11:30 in the Children's Library. Rev.Phil Price facilitates this group.
  • Tuesday Morning Class: The group begins meeting weekly on September 8th at 10 am at Norma Coiner’s home. Facilitator Jack Eakin will begin the discussion with "Momments that Take your Breath Away.".
  • Wednesday Afternoon Class - Chuck Upton facilitates this group at 1:30 pm of each month month in the Adult Library. 
  • Thursday Evening Class - Each week at 7 pm this group meets in the Bridgeview Chapel with Facilitator Chuch Upton.
  • Friday Morning Class - The weekly discussion of this classes start at 10 am in the Children’s Library This class includes sight impaired participants and welcomes others. The facilitator for the group is Phyllis Fletcher. Driving services are provided for by  Dana Justus.

Discussion/Study groups

  • Men’s Breakfast discussion group - Wednesdays, 2nd & 4th of the month 7:00 a.m. at Idaho Joes
