Christian Nurture

At First Presbyterian Church our mission is for every child, young person and adult to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord, Savior and Friend in a nurturing and joyful environment. We believe that everyone is a child of God and we seek to live out the commitment we make at baptism to teach everyone about the Good News of Jesus Christ, to encourage their Christian faith and service and to strengthen their ties to Christ’s church.

Adults

Bible Study (call the church office for more information on classes)

  • Sunday Morning Adult Class - This group meets before worship at 8:30 am in the Fellowship Alcove and 11:30 in the Children's Library. Rev.Phil Price facilitates this group.
  • Tuesday Morning Class: The group meets weekly in the Fellowship room of the Church. 
  • Wednesday Afternoon Class - Harry Geist facilitates this group at 2:00 pm of each month month in the Church Library. 
  • Thursday Evening Class - Each week at 7 pm this group meets in the Bridgeview Chapel with Facilitator Terry Nelson.
  • Friday Morning Class - The weekly discussion of this classes start at 10 am in the Children’s Library This class includes sight impaired participants and welcomes others. The facilitator for the group is Phyllis Fletcher. Driving services are provided for by  Dana Justus.

Discussion/Study groups

  • Men’s Bible Study Breakfast discussion group - Tuesdays, 1st & 3rd of the month 7:00 a.m. at Shari's.
